Guided tours
Get to know the oldest cloth factory in Germany

Many steps are necessary before the yarn is turned into high-quality loden. Weaving, fulling, dyeing and special finishing processes such as shearing or decatizing are necessary.
As the last fully integrated textile company in Germany, we have made it our mission to present the process of cloth production and to pass on our passion for sustainable and high-quality textiles.
Experience the world of cloth production on a tour of the Mehler cloth factory. With one of our experts, you will follow the path that the yarn takes through our production to become the finished textile, which steps are necessary and what our products are made of.

Mehler’s fabrics are typically used in clothing, home textiles, corporate wear, or club uniforms. However, more specialized items such as protective clothing, conveyor belts, or polishing wheels are also manufactured.
A special highlight is the production of finished home textile items such as blankets, curtains or cushions, the production of which we have been focusing on for several years.
Our textiles are appreciated worldwide and can even be found in European royal families or Hollywood. For example, we have the films “The Grand Budapest”, “Star Trek” or “Jeanne du Barry”.

From the fiber to the finished fabric. And all with a great deal of passion. We produce quality in the oldest textile factory in Germany. And quality can only be achieved when passion, know-how and experience come together. Fabrics and cloths are our passion. And have been for more than 379 years. After the tour, you have the opportunity to discover our products in our in-house outlet.
